FAQs / Help

Are we allowed to bring our dogs?

Dogs are welcome to join you on your day boat hire free of charge. If you would like any recommendations of where to moor up and walk your dog, please ask our staff. Most dogs are fine on board but all dogs may react differently to the sound and vibration of the engine so please keep your dog under control at all times.

I've never driven a boat! How will I know what to do?

Before you set off, we’ll give you all the information and guidance you need to operate your day boat safely and with respect for the environment and other Broads visitors. We’ll also provide you with a map and route suggestions based on your hire duration. If you have any questions before you set off, be sure to ask our friendly team.

Do I need to bring a life jacket?

No - our hire charge includes the hire of buoyancy aids for you and everyone in your party. Our day boat team will help you find the right buoyancy aid and show you how to correctly fasten and unfasten it. We recommend wearing your buoyancy at all times when on board and when you’re on the bank close to the water’s edge.

Can I hire a boat by myself?

No - Broads Tours require at least two adults on our Day Boats (at our discretion we may allow one adult with a child of 14 years or over)
